RN Professional Certification Policy (for complete policy see link)

Banner supports professional certification by reimbursing for initial and re-certification for approved certifications.  Banner reimburses at the organizational member rate if you are a member and the non-member rate if you are not a member.  After determining the certification exam you will sit for develop a study plan. 

• Banner supports our nurses through the collaboration with Lippincott Learning. To access Lippincott Learning log into Workday and complete the Lippincott Registration Course.  You will obtain a unique name and password.  Once you have this you can access the certification prep courses. 

Banner DOES NOT PAY for additional preparation materials, texts, or review courses if there is a Lippincott Learning Certification /review Course available.  Banner does not pay or reimburse for fees for organizational memberships.  If Lippincott does not have a review course for your specialty, Banner will reimburse only up to a specific maximum amount (refer to policy for details) towards an approved certification course (Refer to Policy or reach out to Carrie Brunson for questions) Create and implement your study plan and set an exam date. 

• Strongly consider becoming a member of the organization as this makes you eligible to receive their journal, webinars, and many learning opportunities that provide ongoing CEUs and support you to maintain your specialty certification 
• Banner does not reimburse RNs for annual specialty organizational memberships
