As Banner Heath does not have an active BMJ Case Reports subscription required when submitting case reports), the author would be unable to submit one as part of their institutional affiliation.
Individual Fellowships with BMJ
- If you are not affiliated with University of Arizona and gaining access through the UA Health Sciences Library, you may take out an individual fellowship
- BMJ Case Reports has a unique business model whereby users (whether authors and/or readers) become Fellows
- Individuals pay an annual Fellowship fee. During your 12-month Fellowship, you can submit as many cases as you like, access all the published material, and re-use any published material for personal use and teaching without further permission
- There are no additional publication or colour charges for accepted articles
- The Corresponding Author must be/become a Fellow
Institutional Fellowships with BMJ
Institutional fellows, including faculty, students and staff in such institutions will not have to pay individual fellowship fees. **Banner does not provide institutional access at this time.
- Authors may make their accepted article open access. There is an extra charge of £499 (+VAT) to make your case report open access. This is an extra fee to the fellowship but is only charged if your article is accepted.

Answer: If you are a resident, fellow, faculty of UA you do have access to this institutional subscription. Contact the Health Librarians at University of Ariizona to learn how to access BMJ Caser Reports. Please provide your UA NetID or UA email address to quickly verify your affiliation with the university.
