Banner Health FAQs

The library at Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix (Banner Good Samaritan) used to have a small collection of photographs, documents, and memorabilia about the history of Good Samaritan and associated facilities.

The archives now reside at the Arizona Historical Society. The collection has not been processed, which will likely limit the information that can be obtained.  To learn more, please contact the historical society at ahsreference@azhs.gov or visit the Library and Archives page and submit a Reference Request (form is in the bottom left of the page).

In addition to contacting the historical society, you may also refer to Miss Lulu"s Legacy by Stephen Shaddegg, a documentation of the early years of the hospital.  It is available for electronic borrowing from the Internet Archive.
