How to set up Endnote to directly download articles from my library.

Answer

Set up EndNote to download full text articles from Banner Health Library Services or UA

EndNote Desktop allow users to access and download full text PDFs of open access and Banner Health or UA subscribed content even on your personal device.

Set up Banner Health (or UA) in the EndNote Desktop preferences:

  1. For Windows, open EndNote, and go to Edit > Preferences > Find Full Text. For Mac, EndNote X9 > Preferences > Find Full Text.
  2. Check PubMed LinkOut (U.S. National Library of Medicine), and OpenURL
  3. In the space for "OpenURL Path," enter https://imageserver.ebscohost.com/branding/ns056320/FullTextFinder.html
    • This URL will provide direct access to Banner Health subscribed content.
    • UA use: https://arizona-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/openurl/01UA/01UA?
  4. Click "OK."

Off-site:

  • At this time OpenAthens is not compatible with "Authentication with". However, do not fret! Simply log into any Banner Health subscribed resource to authenticate yourself, then use the Endnote "Find Full Text"
  • When you use the "Find Full Text" option from off-campus, first login with your Banner Health email, password, & MS authenticator or OpenAthens account. Use this URL to start an 8-hour authentication session: https://my.openathens.net/auth?entityID=https://idp.eduserv.org.uk/openathens

Find Full Text

Troubleshooting

If the Full Text Finder button does not work,

  1. Right click the mouse on the article title
