I want to stream music at our clinic. Does Banner have a music streaming service?
Answer
Currently, there is no central music streaming contract at Banner. If you identify a business music streaming service, the license must be combined with the streaming service. Ultimately, it's up to the facility to find a vendor that offers a streaming service that co-mingles with the license itself so you don't risk streaming music that is not covered under the license. The vendor Soundtrack may offer a business license + streaming combo; but you'd need to discern that.
In the event that you locate a vendor + license, you must also reference (2) policies (available from Policy Tech) called the:
- contract review policy
- signature authority policy

But what if I want to utilize copyrighted music within a Banner presentation? In other words, what if I want to download a song in mp3 (audio) or mp4 (video) format to include in my presentation? The short answer?: submit a ticket to Banner Legal to get authoratative direction on using copyrighted work in presentations. Utilizing copyrighted work requires permissions. You may also want to take a look at the Banner Connect Legal intranet site.
