Why can't I log into UpToDate?

OpenAthens does not work! You must have a personal account to log into UpToDate.

If you see this screen when trying to access UpToDate, it means that you are (considered) off-site. Here are some suggestions for troubleshooting...

1. You may have lost connection to Global Protect (the Banner VPN). Please check that you are indeed still connected.

2. You are trying to access UpToDate on your phone or home computer. In order to use UpToDate on a personal device you first create a personal UpToDate account while on-site, connected to Global Protect, or logged in through OpenAthens. 

3. If you have landed on this login page and you are on-site or connected through Global Protect, then you are experiencing a problem that needs to be addressed by the library team. Please contact us so we can help you.
