Why does my view of PubMed look different?

PubMed provides many tools to make searching & getting results easier. Depending on your browser, browser extensions, your location, and your institution, your view of PubMed may look unique.

Here are a few examples of how PubMed can look.

This may give you some ideas about how you can set up your PubMed to work best for you.

PubMed results without any customization. This is the (default) Summary View.

  1. You can change the view under Display Options. I prefer the the abstract view.
  2. Notice the filters on the left side of the results.
  3. You can change the filter options by choosing Additional Filters located at the bottom of the column.

How to get this view: Just go to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

 

Include the Banner Health Resource Icon to link directly to Banner Health subscribed content

  1. Choose abstract view from the Display Options
  2. Now see that Banner Health icon is displayed below the abstract in the Abstract View. 

How to get this view: Start at https://library.bannerhealth.com/pubmed or start on the library home and use the PubMed tab on the OneSearch box, or add Banner Health to your NCBI account profile

Download and enable the LibKey Nomad browser extension

  1. The Libkey Nomad browser extension, works on all web pages to link articles with Banner Health subscribed content.
